About
The through-line
I work on how humans and machines co-evolve—especially during periods when:
- roles are unstable
- tools outpace understanding
- workflows change faster than meaning
- authority and responsibility become blurred
My work spans software development, product design, narrative systems, knowledge management, and organizational practice. These are different expressions of the same underlying problem: how symbolic systems, tools, and humans interact to produce action, meaning, and power.
The role I tend to play
Functionally, I tend to operate as:
- A temporary stabilizer during transition
- A translator between technical and non-technical domains
- A designer of experiments that reveal structure
- Someone who helps systems see themselves
I work through fractional and interim engagements, entering systems temporarily, helping them stabilize or learn, and then exiting cleanly.
How I work
I try to:
- Meet people where they are, not where tools expect them to be
- Optimize for legibility and feedback, not just output
- Leave teams more capable, not more dependent
- Prefer time-bounded engagements with clear endpoints
